Arapaho Reservation, Fort Washakie, Wyoming

In August 2001, Winter Panel provided structural panels for a Head Start and Community Center in Fort Washakie, Wyoming, being built by the Northern Arapaho tribe.

About the Reservation
About 5,953 Arapaho tribal members live on the Wind River Reservation, which covers 2,268,008 acres in Wyoming. The tribal headquarters of the reservation is in Fort Washakie. Leaders of the tribe hope to build a second building, called the Turtle Shelter, which would provide refuge for victims of domestic abuse.

More information on the Northern Arapaho is available at their Web site.

Here are some photos of the project under construction.
