The American Plywood Association and the US Dept. of Agriculture selected Winter
Panel to design, manufacture and construct a model house in Portugal to demonstrate
American residential construction technology. This 3,000 square foot house was
completed in May of 1991 in conjunction with a Portuguese contractor under the
direct supervision of Winter Panel Homes’ crews.
As a result of this effort, several additional Winter Panel Homes have been constructed
in Portugal, and our system has received approval from the Portuguese National
Laboratory. |

| The American Plywood Association and the United States Department of Agriculture
selected Winter Panel Homes to design, manufacture and train construction workers
in the assembly of 58 houses in Spain. The 1,600 to 3,500 square foot houses
were manufactured during a three-month period. The project was completed in conjunction
with a Spanish contractor in 1992, with the assistance of 14 WPH technicians.
The College of Architects approved our product for use in Spain. |
| Winter Panel Homes was selected to manufacture, engineer and erect the "American
Spirit Home" for the U.S. pavilion at Expo '92, pictured above. This project
was a joint effort of Winter Panel Homes, the American Plywood Association, and
the United States Information Agency. The 3,500 square foot house was designed
to showcase American construction technology. Winter Panel Homes provided all
of the materials, construction labor, and supervision for the construction of
the house in both the United States and Spain. |

| Winter Panel Homes manufactured and supplied complete materials packages for 72 residential units of 900 square feet each for the Chilean Navy. The project was shipped during mid-1997 and early 1998, and constructed by Chilean Navy personnel with assistance from a Winter Panel technician and staff from our Chilean licensee. For more information, see our report. |
As a result of the successful Greenland project, the National Science
Foundation selected Winter Panel Homes to design and manufacture two 3,000 square
foot dormitory buildings for use at the South Pole.
The first unit was manufactured in 1991 and test-assembled at NSF facilities
in Colorado under the supervision of our technical staff. Shipment to the site
was by ocean freight to New Zealand with air delivery via parachute drops to
the South Pole Base Camp, again with assembly under the supervision of our technical
staff. Two additional dormitory units were ordered and delivered in 1992. |
In 2001 Winter Panel Corp. entered into a licensing agreement with SPS, a company that specializes in the construction of buildings with SIPs in Algeria. During the following year, Winter Panel worked with SPS on transferring technical manufacturing and construction know-how. Our products are now being manufactured and distributed in Algeria, and the photos here show some of the construction site office buildings that SPS has constructed with Winter Panel SIPs.
Winter Panel also worked with our Algerian licensee and the construction firm
Brown & Root-Condor, based in Algiers, on a base project in Oran and Constantine,
Algeria. |
Winter Panel Corp. executed a licensing agreement in 1996 and transferred technical know-how to a Chilean construction company. A model house using our system was completed in 1996, and our product is now in commercial production in Chile with numerous ongoing contracts.
